Toe Aung

Biography:

Toe Aung, a.k.a. “Toe,” likes studying sex, in which he describes his existence as the result of unbroken and successful reproduction and parenting by his ancestors. In 2013, Toe won a Green Card from the U.S. visa lottery program. His winning led him from his home in Myanmar to Albright College, where he received his B.S. in psychobiology with a minor in evolutionary studies. Together with Dr. Susan Hughes from Albright College, Toe conducted his undergraduate thesis on the Coolidge Effect in humans.

“I won the second lottery, this time to join the Puts lab,” Toe exclaimed, excited to further pursue his research interests in Fall 2017. He aims to be a productive researcher and wishes to expand his research interests in sex and voice attractiveness from cross-cultural and evolutionary perspectives. Toe plans to continue his research on the Coolidge Effect, mate choice copying, and sex differences in human mating behaviors and psychology. On the rare occasion that Toe is not pursuing his most recent research interest, he will likely be found spending time with close friends, watching Family Guy, or taking his handsome lab mix rescue pup on a walk.
