Talia Shirazi

Biography:

Talia is a first year anthropology graduate student working in the Puts lab. She received her B.A. in psychology with a minor in mathematics from Emory University, where she conducted research on sex differences in sexual attitudes and behaviors across time under the supervision of Kim Wallen. After graduating from Emory, she spent two years working at the National Institutes of Mental Health studying the effect of HIV infection on cognitive and everyday functioning. She is interested in the effects of endogenous and exogenous steroid hormones on women’s mating preferences and behaviors. In her spare time, she enjoys reading about her aforementioned research interests, running, and eating (she’s still working on the cooking part).
